Prof. Dott. Tran Viet Dzung, MD
Internationally known acupuncturist, educator and author. Is currently the Director of Acupuncture Education of the Faculté de Médecine (Medical School) of the University of Paris. Dr. Tran graduated from the University of Paris Medical School in 1970, specializing in surgery. After meeting the world-famous "father of acupuncture in the west", Dr. Nguyen Van Nghi, he devoted his life to collaborating with Van Nghi on translating the Chinese classics and verifying their teachings in clinical practice. Since 1973 he has been Associate Chief Editor of the Review of Chinese Traditional Medicine (one of the two premier acupuncture journals in France). He is a founding member of the World Medical Association of Acupuncture, the Association of Eastern Medicine, end the Institut Van Nghi. The material in this seminar is drawn from the Nei Jing, Ling Shu and Nan Jing, and has been validated in the combined clinical experience of Dr. Tran and Dr. Van Nghi. It is presented in Dr. Tran's lively and interactive style.
Dr. Tran Viet Dzung has co-authored six books with Dr. Nguyen Van Nghi, written numerous articles and taught extensively around the world. The faculty member in charge of acupuncture at the University of Medicine in Nice, France. Tran has been the Assistant Editor in Chief of the Revue Francais de Medicine Tradionelle Chiniose since 1973. Since the early 1980's, Drs. Tran and Van Nghi concentrated their efforts on uncovering 'new' and profound information from the Chinese medical classic texts: The Su Wen, Ling Shu, Nan Jing, and Zhen Jiu Da Jing. Since the early 1980's, Dr. Tran Viet Dzung has lectured extensively in Brazil, has lectured regularly in Palermo, Italy as well as in Dusseldorf, Germany. He has been to several of the Acupuncture Alliance conferences, and has been guest speaker at Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine at 4 different seminars. He has also spoken several times at the "National American Academy of Medical Acupuncturists" meetings. Dr. Viet Dzung is currently working on translating the original Classics given to him by Dr. Nguyen Van Nghi at his death.
